What happens during an oil-boiler servicing?

Our engineer will come to your property and inspect your oil boiler to identify any potential problem.

They will then start servicing your boiler by removing the outer case and cleaning the inner compartments.

Warning! Do not try this yourself! Only a certified gas engineer should be performing this type of inspection.

Servicing your oil boiler can take up to 2 hours.

Your engineer may advise to replace the oil nozzle as it will improve the way oil goes through the burner.

On average, oil nozzles should be changed every year, since they can get clogged up and negatively impact your boiler’s performance.

The technician will also clean the heat exchanger, as dirt can cause the boiler to break.

Finally, they will inspect and clean the pressure relief valve, heating controls, and oil tank.
Once the service is done, the engineer will fill in an OFTEC CD/11 document that details what work has been carried out on your oil boiler.
